At 4:30 this morning I woke in time to hear Pete Buttigieg’s speech

Up Early in Lyon
Seven hours ahead of Chicago time, I was awake early enough today to catch most of Pete’s speech in real time. C’était génial!
We are checking out of the Airbnb in a few minutes, so I don’t have time to write more about the convention and what it feels like to watch it from Lyon.
Let’s just say it warmed my heart when I saw that the street next to our building is named Rue Franklin. The link between America and France is old, based on shared values.
