I used to enjoy Dwight Garner’s appearances on the New York Times Book Review Podcast back in the day when Sam Tanenhaus was the host. They had great fun with each other, and their conversations about books were always enlightening.
More recently, I stop for a careful read whenever I see Dwight’s byline in the Times. He writes a weekly review in the daily paper and often appears in the Sunday Book Review.
Dwight’s new book, The Upstairs Delicatessen: On Eating, Reading, Reading About Eating, and Eating While Reading is a tasty read if you love food or literature or both, with a discreet amount of sex added for seasoning.
